Transforming a Highland Village Home
A Kitchen & Living Space Reinvention
For several years, one of our clients knew that their Highland Village home wasn’t meeting their family’s ever-evolving needs and desperately needed a kitchen and living area renovation. Sure, they loved the area and wouldn’t dream of living elsewhere. That said, the limitations inside had become too much to work around, and they finally had a capable designer willing to help:

Overcoming Design Challenges with a Visionary Approach
- The kitchen felt dark and enclosed with nothing but walls and no windows.
- There was very limited storage and NO pantry.
- Several areas had space that was severely underutilized from a layout perspective.
- Pretty much everything was outdated and falling apart.
They knew something had to change but admittedly had no idea how the floor plan could be reimagined.

A Stunning Multi-Room Home Design Renovation Project
- Brightened the kitchen, improved its functionality, and gave the floors, fixtures, appliances, and amenities a long-overdue upgrade.
- Added a pantry room between the kitchen and adjoining living room to give them an immediate storage upgrade.
- Moved the main family room to the fireplace area and added a bar where their sectional used to be.
- Utilized a structural engineer to remove the dining room columns and kitchen wall.
- Lowered the existing door and enlarged the windows to add natural light.
