Stylish Kitchen Renovation with Custom Features

This kitchen transformation in Farmers Branch, TX was inspired by one homeowner’s love of baking and her desire to finally enjoy the kitchen in the home she loved. The original space was dark, cramped, and poorly laid out—so much so that the open dishwasher blocked access to the rest of the room and made everyday tasks frustrating. When the client decided to stay and remodel instead of relocate, she entrusted Sunday Morning Kitchen and Bath to thoughtfully reimagine the space from the ground up.

The custom island features two heights for ergonomic prep and visual depth. Integrated dishwasher panels, a tip-out sink drawer, and double trash pullouts with side storage keep the look clean and efficient.

Tall pantry cabinets and drawers include an oversized utensil organizer, pull-out spice racks, and even dual pull-out step stools—offering function without clutter.

The kitchen includes an induction cooktop, sleek refrigerator, and convection double oven—paired with white quartz counters, brushed gold hardware, and soft blue-green cabinetry.

Thoughtful Flow and Smart Features

The layout was opened up to improve connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Natural light now fills the space, and traffic bottlenecks—like a dishwasher that once blocked access to the room—have been eliminated. The island was custom-designed to provide both visual interest and a variety of work zones for food prep, storage, and gathering.
