The transformation of this residence began with a clear purpose: to honor the home’s rich architectural soul while reimagining its spaces for effortless modern living. By opening up sightlines and removing visual barriers between the main living, dining, and specialized prep spaces, the entire interior was unlocked, allowing natural light to sweep through and creating a seamless, interconnected flow.
The design narrative is rooted in rich materiality, thoughtful contrast, and authentic craftsmanship. Heavy, dark-stained timber post-and-beam portals and exposed ceiling beams ground the home in timeless Craftsman warmth, while modern elevated details bring dynamic personality to every room. A dramatic oxidized copper patinated feature wall anchors the dining space, perfectly balancing custom sage green and dark navy cabinetry, glazed slate-blue subway tile, and a striking dark bronze farmhouse sink.
The dialogue between old-world character and modern refinement extends all the way to the outdoors. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows and multi-lite French doors erase the boundary between the interior living quarters and a natural flagstone patio, framed by a rugged fieldstone veneer base.
Every structural choice and surface finish was selected to cultivate an atmosphere of organic luxury, yielding a home that feels deeply rooted, visually rich, and effortlessly tailored to everyday life.
