Recognized Excellence in Residential Kitchen Under $75,000
A thoughtfully designed kitchen renovation earned national recognition by transforming an outdated space into one tailored for everyday living and a passion for baking.
On June 25, Sunday Morning Kitchen and Bath earned the National Chrysalis Award for Residential Kitchen Under $75,000 for this award-winning kitchen transformation. The company also received a second National Chrysalis Award in the Residential Interior Under $150,000 category, making it one of only two remodeling firms in the country to receive multiple Chrysalis Awards this year.
Since 1993, the Chrysalis Awards have recognized the nation’s finest remodeling projects, celebrating excellence in residential and commercial remodeling. Both award-winning Sunday Morning Kitchen and Bath projects were completed in North Texas within the same calendar year. Owner Marta Layton received the exciting news while meeting with a client in a showroom, making the recognition an especially memorable milestone for the entire team.
The homeowners loved nearly everything about their Denton home, but their kitchen no longer met their needs. Limited counter space, an inefficient layout, and outdated appliances made cooking and baking more difficult than enjoyable. As an avid baker, the homeowner envisioned a space that could support her creativity while also serving as a welcoming gathering place for family and friends.
Honoring the homeowners’ request to maintain the existing footprint, Sunday Morning Kitchen and Bath completely reimagined the kitchen from the studs up. By maximizing every square foot, the team created a highly functional space that feels larger, brighter, and better suited to the family’s lifestyle.
