Our team at Sunday Morning Kitchen and Bath in Flower Mound, TX, consists of seasoned design professionals and construction gurus whose residential remodeling skills can only outdone by their commitment to ensuring you have the home of your dreams. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to our kitchen and bathroom designs; nothing we do is cookie-cutter. Instead, we rely heavily on your style, tastes, and visions of what “could be” and our decades of industry knowledge to create unique spaces that take new homes to another level and give older homes that long-overdue modern and functional appeal. Simply put: If you can dream it, we can design it.

- A Heartfelt Word From Our Owner, Marta Layton -

My journey to becoming your local kitchen and bathroom design specialist was far from conventional. Born and raised in Poland, I earned my Master’s in Applied Linguistics and worked as a translator and high-level events coordinator at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw. In the years that followed, I taught Business English, designed websites, and created custom jewelry. My parents are classically trained musicians, so creativity and a willingness to try new things have always been part of my DNA. In fact, when I immigrated to America after meeting my husband in 2012, I reinvented myself again by jumping into the world of custom stone showrooms. Even then, I found it easy to advise clients on color selections and help put together seemingly complex space designs.

Fast forward a few years, and I genuinely believe I’ve found my true calling as the owner of Sunday Morning Kitchen and Bath. Every day, I have the honor of walking into my clients’ homes—gorgeous homes with owners who want to go beyond a few surface changes here and there to truly reimagine their kitchen or bathroom. With me, they get an independent designer who will listen, offer advice, and create technical floor plans, 3D renderings, and video walk-throughs that bring each project to life. Instead of playing a guessing game, my clients can see their vision in front of them. I’m honored to be the person they trust to do that for them!

There are so many homes in Flower Mound right now that are 20, 30, and 40 years old, and they’ve never been through a remodel before. My specialty is the ones that are difficult to envision without renderings. And once we have those, I have quality contractors who only have to worry about one thing—executing those plans.

Meet Our Designer, Sarah Gorden

Sarah brings nearly twenty years of experience in residential design and remodeling to Sunday Morning Kitchen & Bath. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with homeowners, contractors, and vendors to transform existing spaces into environments that are both beautiful and highly functional.

Her background in interior design and construction coordination allows her to approach projects with both creativity and practicality. From evaluating layout options to selecting materials and preparing technical drawings, Sarah enjoys guiding clients through the many decisions that come with a kitchen or bathroom remodel.

Working alongside Marta, she supports projects from early concept development through design documentation and selections. She believes the best designs come from thoughtful collaboration, clear communication, and a deep understanding of how clients want to live in their homes.

For Sarah, kitchen and bath design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about creating spaces that improve the everyday experience of home.

A Collaborative Design Process

Designing a kitchen or bathroom remodel involves many moving parts—from layout planning and material selections to construction documentation and coordination with contractors. By working as a team, Marta and Sarah are able to support clients throughout each stage of the process.

Marta focuses on the overall design vision and client experience, while Sarah assists with technical planning, drawings, and design development. This collaborative approach allows projects to move forward thoughtfully and efficiently while ensuring that every detail is carefully considered.

Most importantly, it allows homeowners to feel supported throughout the entire process—from the first conversation all the way through construction.
