Deciding to use a kitchen designer was not a decision that I made easily. A kitchen designer was a big splurge for us. But I finally decided to take the leap of faith and work with Marta. The design phase was fun but tedious. The software Marta uses is great and really helped me visualize how things would look. She knows the kitchen/bath design guidelines and how to best use the space but she also wanted each space to be what I wanted, not just a certain look. We looked at multiple designs for each space. In the kitchen: How would 2 islands look? What if we put the cooktop there? White cabinets? Taller cabinets? Etc In the bathroom: Tub or walk in shower? Built in or free standing tub? No tub at all? Marta’s patience to consider any and all ideas was infinite.
Next came the selection phase. Marta was very helpful in those meetings as well. She recommended vendors (appliance, tile, plumbing, lighting, etc) and would guide me through the meetings and be by my side to help and answer design questions. Again, I want to mention her patience. It is not easy for me to make decisions and she was happy to revisit options (from refrigerators to faucets to tiles) in person or through computer renderings.
We remodeled the kitchen (including a wall removal), 3 bathrooms and all flooring. It was so helpful to “see” how things would look in Marta’s software which helped minimize regrets.
Marta introduced us to several contractors for quotes and was happy to answer questions during the construction phase. Remodeling is never easy, but Marta’s design service was invaluable to the process.
