Even in a dream home, buyers often spot things they’d like to renovate or upgrade soon after moving in. For one of our clients in Lewisville, their master bathroom was at the top of that list. Sure, the space had a warm and inviting atmosphere and all the basic features you’d expect for showering and grooming. However, it screamed builder-grade. The shower was on the smaller side—wide enough for one person, but without much room to move. There also wasn’t much storage, wall space, or modern-day amenities.
How could they transform such a small, unimaginative space into a custom oasis perfect for their unique needs?
A Reimagined Look and Thoughtful Additions Make a World of Difference
While there was a long list of to-dos for this project, the first box we and our clients wanted to check off was fixing the shower situation. After all, you want your new shower to be uniquely yours. We replaced the small, one-person shower with a stunning dual-glass upgrade a few feet away from the original shower location. We say “upgrade,” but even that word doesn’t do it enough justice. The new and more spacious shower included matte black fixtures, his and her shower heads and body sprays, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that screamed elegance, relaxation, and modern-day functionality. As for the old shower space, we converted it into a pretty, open nook feature that was spacious enough for a tall clothes hamper and short shelves for extra towels and supplies.
Another Client Who Felt Heard and Valued
Remodeling projects can be overwhelming to homeowners for many reasons. One of the biggest is that it’s hard to take all the great ideas in your head or on a Pinterest board and communicate them in a way that a contractor will fully understand. And when you add in shopping for faucets, sinks, and other amenities (often by yourself without any help or input from a professional), it’s almost enough to make some homeowners want to throw in the towel. That’s where working with a designer makes all the difference.
This client was able to skip having to share their ideas with a construction crew haphazardly and instead work one-on-one with a designer who listened to their ideas, took the time to understand their style, taste, and dreams, fostered an environment of back-and-forth dialogue and brainstorming, and was willing to go shopping with them.
From there, everything was brought to life with 3D renderings of what the space could look like with a few more thoughtful tweaks.
No guesswork. Just professional suggestions and smarter design solutions.
